Creator Program Terms
Last updated November 4, 2026
1. Who can take part
- You apply on recl.app/creators and we approve you by hand. We can decline any application.
- You need a Recl account. Your code is linked to that account, and one person can have one creator account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and allowed to receive payments there.
2. Your code and link
You get a code (for example ASHAREADS) and a link (recl.app/r/CODE). We may refuse a code, or change it if it is misleading, offensive, or looks like an official Recl or store offer.
3. Commission
- Rate: 30% of the net revenue from each subscriber you refer, or another rate we agree with you in writing.
- Net revenue is what Recl actually receives for a payment: the amount charged, minus taxes (such as VAT or GST), minus the app store's or payment provider's fee. Prices, fees and taxes vary by country and store. Where a store doesn't report the tax or the fee for a payment, we use a standard estimate, and your dashboard shows that amount as estimated.
- How long: every payment the subscriber makes in the 12 months after their first payment, or another number of months we agree with you in writing. A yearly plan earns commission once. If a payment covers time past those months (for example a switch to a yearly plan in month 11), commission is on the share of it that falls inside them. A switch that the store prices with a credit counts at what was actually charged.
- Who counts as referred: someone who signs up with your code or link and makes their first payment within 90 days of signing up. The first code an account uses is the one that counts, and it can't be changed later.
- What doesn't count: free trials, promotional or free months, Family Sharing, store test purchases, and our own test and review accounts.
- Changes to your rate or months are agreed in writing (email is fine) and apply from our next daily calculation, to payments not yet calculated. Commission already calculated keeps the rate it was calculated at.
4. Tracking and its limits
On Android and computers, your link carries your code. On iPhone, the App Store can't pass a code along, so people have to type your code during sign-up. We can only credit sign-ups that carry your code, so say it out loud and show it. Our records decide what is credited; if you think something is missing, email us within 60 days.
5. Hold, reviews, refunds and chargebacks
- Each payment is held for 30 days so refunds can come through first. After that its commission is approved.
- A full refund or chargeback cancels that payment's commission. A partial refund reduces it pro rata.
- If a payment is refunded or charged back after we paid you its commission, we deduct that commission (or the refunded share of it) from your next payouts.
- A subscriber cancelling or letting their plan expire is not a refund: commission on payments already made stays yours.
- Commission on a referral flagged for review (for example a sign-up from your own network), or earned while your creator account is paused, is held until the review ends. It may be cancelled if the review finds a breach of these terms, or if the referred account is deleted during the review.
6. Payouts
- We pay once a month, on or around the 15th, for commission approved by the end of the month before.
- The minimum payout is $25. Smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- Amounts are worked out in US dollars and paid at that day's exchange rate. Recl pays its own sending fees; your bank or wallet may charge its own.
- We pay by hand to the method you choose in your dashboard: UPI, PayPal, Wise, a bank transfer or another method we agree. You get the transaction ID in your dashboard for every payout.
- You must keep your payout details correct and accept the current version of these terms before we can pay you. A payment sent to the details you gave us counts as paid. When your payout details change, we are alerted and may confirm the change with you by email before we pay.
7. Taxes
You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. Where the law requires it, we may withhold tax from payouts or ask you for tax documents (we collect these by email and don't store them in the app). We may hold payouts until we have what the law requires.
8. You must disclose
Every time you share your code or link, say clearly that you earn a commission, at the start of the post or video: for example #ad, “paid partnership”, or your platform's paid-partnership label. This is required by the US FTC Endorsement Guides, India's ASCI guidelines and most platforms, and it is a condition of being paid.
9. What's not allowed
- Signing up yourself, or accounts you control, with your own code.
- Paying, rewarding or incentivising people to install Recl, sign up, use your code, or rate or review the app (this breaks App Store and Google Play rules).
- Paid search or social ads on “Recl” or misspellings of it, and posting your code on coupon or deal sites.
- Promising things Recl doesn't offer, such as free Pro, discounts, or “unlimited” anything, or any other false or misleading claim.
- Spam, fake accounts, bots, or anything that makes Recl look like it endorses something it doesn't.
- Pretending to be Recl or speaking for Recl.
10. Pausing, leaving and suspension
- We may pause your creator account, for example while we look into a problem. While it is paused your code doesn't track new sign-ups, and commission on new payments is held: it is paid only if we reactivate your account.
- You can leave at any time, and we can end your participation, by email. Unless you leave because of fraud, commission already approved or pending is paid once it clears. Payments made after you leave earn nothing.
- If you break these terms through fraud (for example self-referrals or paid sign-ups), we can suspend you and cancel any commission that isn't paid yet.
- If your balance is negative when you leave (a refund after a payout), Recl writes it off and never asks you to repay it.
11. Data
Your dashboard shows totals and amounts, and individual payments by day (platform, plan and amount): clicks, sign-ups, paid subscribers by platform, revenue and commission. It never shows who signed up, and you must not try to find out. What we keep about you as a creator is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email or in your dashboard. If you keep sharing your code after that, the new terms apply. Changes never reduce commission on payments already made.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law where you live says otherwise. Questions: hello@recl.app.
