Data retention

How long each category of data is kept, and what happens to it when you delete items or your account.
1. Retention schedule

2. What account deletion does
Deleting your account (Settings → Danger zone, or by emailing hello@recl.app) immediately and permanently removes your user-owned rows from the production database: saved videos and their links to you, bookmarks, nuggets, folders, notes, quiz and recall history, sessions, tokens, messaging connections, and feed signals. Shared resources (e.g., a public library summary of a video that other users also saved) are not deleted, but lose any link to you. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire automatically within 35 days. Billing records are retained only as long as the law requires.
