2. Local storage
The web app, mobile app, and extension use device-local storage for UI preferences and offline caching of your own data (e.g., your feed cache). This data stays on your device and is cleared when you sign out or uninstall.
3. Analytics cookies
recl.app and app.recl.app use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and features are used (recl.app loads it through Google Tag Manager, app.recl.app directly). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on our domains:

recl.app, app.recl.app and library.recl.app use Google Consent Mode (the choice you make on recl.app applies to all three). For visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's analytics and advertising storage start switched off; accepting in the banner turns on analytics only. Elsewhere analytics is on by default. Advertising storage is switched off everywhere: Recl runs no ads and doesn't use this data for advertising. You can also block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on; the sites keep working either way. Google's processing is described in its privacy policy.
4. Your choice
Turn analytics cookies on or off for recl.app here. The choice is saved in the recl_consent cookie for six months; turning analytics off also deletes the Google Analytics cookies.
5. Other third-party content
Embedded content is limited to images (e.g., YouTube thumbnails fetched as plain images), which do not set cookies on Recl domains.
