Terms of Service

Recl is a personal knowledge tool: you save content (videos, links, posts, notes, quotes), and Recl generates summaries, quizzes, topics, a knowledge graph, and spaced-repetition recall reminders from it. Features may be added, changed, or removed as the product evolves.

• You need a Google or Apple account to sign in. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your devices, extension tokens, and connected messaging accounts secure.
• One person per account. Don't share, sell, or transfer accounts.

• You keep all rights to the content you save and the notes you write. We claim no ownership.
• You grant Recl a limited license to store, process, transcribe, summarize, index, and display your content back to you — solely to operate the Service.
• You are responsible for having the right to save and process the content you add. Saving a public URL for personal study is the intended use.
• Public library pages (library.recl.app) contain only curated collections published by Recl — your personal library is private by default.

You must not:

• Use the Service to store or distribute unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
• Bypass access controls, scrape other users' data, probe or overload our infrastructure, or reverse-engineer non-public APIs.
• Circumvent plan limits, quotas, or rate limits, including by creating multiple accounts.
• Resell or white-label the Service without written permission.
• Violate the terms of platforms whose content you save (e.g., YouTube Terms of Service).

• Free accounts have usage quotas. Paid plans (weekly, monthly, yearly) raise those quotas; current pricing is shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Web purchases are billed by Dodo Payments; Android purchases by Google Play. Cancel any time from the billing portal (web) or Play Store subscriptions (Android) — access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Quotas, prices, and included features may change. Where required, existing subscribers receive reasonable advance notice of material changes.
• Refunds are handled per the Refund & billing policy.

• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone; this deletes your content per the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create security or legal risk, or abuse the Service. Where reasonable we'll warn you first.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (your content rights, liability limits, governing law) survive.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recl is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or reliance on AI-generated outputs. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or USD 50 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights.
