Every saved item — video, playlist, bookmark, or nugget — enters a spaced-repetition rotation based on the SM-2 algorithm (the same one Anki uses).
When an item comes due, Recl nudges you on your active channel with a recall card. You tap a score from 1 (forgot completely) to 5 (knew it instantly) and SM-2 picks the next interval.
What the scores mean
- 1 — Forgot → next nudge in ~1 day.
- 2 — Hard → small interval bump.
- 3 — OK → moderate interval bump.
- 4 — Good → big bump.
- 5 — Easy → biggest bump; item eventually graduates.
Tuning the rhythm
By default you get one nudge per day. On Pro+ you can pick every 12, 6, 4, 3, or 1 hour (plan-gated). Set your quiet hours in Settings → Messaging so you never get nudged at 3am.
